Neighborhood is frendly and safe so you can enjoy your stay in easy walks in Kaštela , or romantic dinners in Split and Trogir.
Marina Kaštela ( Kaštel Gomilica ) is only 5 min by car from the apartment.
Games of Thrones were filmed in Kaštel Gomilica. Supermarket, fishmarket, greenmarket, bars, fastfood-shops, restaurant are all nearby. Various restaurants serving local and international dishes can be found within a 2000-metre radius. The nearest beach is 7 minutes walk from the apartment. There is promenade too. There are many other beaches reachable in 10-30 minutes by car. The bus stop to Split and Airport is 20 m, and to Trogir and Solin is only 550m from the apartment.
The apartment is only 600 meters away from 2 local beaches ( sandy and pebble). The sea - 600 m, with the same distance to the old town center which has coffee bars, restaurants, bank, postal office, vegetable market, fish market, backery, pharmacy and ambulance.
Starting from 600 meters away, or 2 minutes by car you are in front of 4 big super markets which work long hours during the summer (Super Konzum, Spar, Plodine and Lidl), where you can buy practically anything you might require. Marina Kastela with its nice restaurant and bars is located just next to those super markets.
An additional big shopping center Interspar and Emmezeta is also a few minutes away by car (2,5 km). You will find that the local restaurant "Kod Bunara", just 600m away, offers Dalmatian local food at favorable prices. Also, newly opened restaurant & bar Nautilus, offer romantic dinners and enjoying your prefer drinks or delishious Dalmatian vine, close to the sea.
Easy access from main roads and highway.
Don't worry if you don't have a car. You can reach Solin, Split , Trogir by bus number 37 (550 m from the apartment! The bus number 37 run every 20 minutes ( working days) or 30 minutes ( weekend ). Also, you can reach Split and Airport, by bus numbrr 2, directly from the station only 20 m from the apartment. The local train station to Split is 500 m from the apartment. There are many taxi too.
The apartment Mendy is situated only 12 km from the City of Split , 10 km
from Split Airport and 12 km from Trogir.
You can also visit the City of Solin - archeological site( only 6 km from the apartment ) , Fortress Klis - 10 km from ap (Games of Thrones were filmed on Fortress Klis ), The City of Šibenik with Waterfalls , Plitvice lakes and waterfalls, The City of Primosten and ecc.
If you comeing with your bikes, you can enjoy everywere, because of many bike paths.
There are remains of the ancient town of Salona which it is presumed was built in the 4th century B.C. and which can still be seen in Solin today. Salona was the port of the Illyrian Delmati tribe, wherethe Greeks and Romans lived. In the 48th year B.C., Julius Caesar proclaimed Salona as the centre of the Roman province of Dalmatia. The town centre had a trapezoidal form, was enclosed by city walls and was fortified by towers. Within it was a complex of town basilicas, and a monumental cathedral with a baptistry and thermae were later constructed. Still today, the peristyle of thermae is recognizable as a place where a bath with furnaces and dressing rooms as well as the Old Christian facilities, connected to the basilicas with activities of St. Dujam was situated. At the southern part are the remains of the forum, the temple and the theatre from the 1st century.
